Public transport is decent, but limited

The Basque Country has excellent infrastructure, clear road signs, and compared to other regions in Spain, the roads are often quieter. Parking in small villages is usually no problem—and often free.
Distances are easy to manage – you can drive from the coast to the inland mountains in just a couple of hours. Perfect for a road trip.

From Bilbao to San Sebastián, you’ll pay around €11 in tolls. (9,40 pounds)
Note: the speed limit is 80 km/h on most roads, and there are lots of tunnels — often with speed cameras right before or after them!
